A draft Helpline vision has been developed. Partners are scheduled to meet on Tuesday June 02, 2009 to develop the Helpline’s mission, values, overall goal, immediate objectives, and key result areas.
Referal Mapping
UCRNN carries out referal Mapping in 36 Districts across the country to identify Child Actors to whom child cases received on the helpline will be reffered.
Nairobi Conference
UCRNN attended a conference on the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child in Nairobi Kenya organised by Save the Children Sweden. The conference highlighted the fact that the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC) are complimentary documents and therefore child actors should be guided by both of them not as competing documents.
